About Us

Welcome to Our Gang Preschool & Kindergarten. We are located at Mission del Sol Presbyterian Church near the southwest corner of Warner and McClintock in Tempe. We welcome all three and four-year-olds in our community.

Our Gang was created and developed by Jacki Oelze. Jacki holds teaching degrees in Early Childhood Education and has more than 30 years teaching experience in both public and private settings. Our Gang was opened in September, 1989.The 3's program is headed by Julie Ross who joined Our Gang in 1997. Both women are graduates of Arizona State University.

Our discipline policy is simple and effective:

• Redirection: The child is directed to another activity.
• Isolation: The child is separated from the main group for a few minutes to readjust his behavior. (Time out)

Liability insurance is provided by GLS Insurance Agency, endorsed by the Arizona Child Care Association. Our Gang is regulated by the Department of Health Services at 150 N. 18th Ave, Ste 400, Phoenix, AZ 85007 (602) 364-2539. All inspection reports are on file at the facility. First Aid is provided by the teachers, who are certified in first aid and CPR. No medication is given at Our Gang.

In an emergency, parents are called immediately; and 911 is called in extreme cases. All children have emergency and medical files on hand .Children with special needs are accepted based upon the approval of the directors and our ability to meet the individual child's needs.
